Jason, despite his self-deprecating remarks, is one of the most together young men of any persuasion that I have ever met. I know his father, and can attest to the fact that the apple does not fall far from the tree. The elder Weems has all of the qualities that I respect and admire in a father, a husband and a man. He processes what a friend of mine described as the "It." He is what my friend calls a "Man's man." I freely admit that I wish my father had been half the man Warren Weems is. This Black man, as evidenced by his devotion to his wife and children, has done it right. They are blessed to have him, and I am blessed to have made their acquaintance.
