Jason Weems: “Unknown”, Comedy Stand-Up Special–Live Taping December 1, 2018

“UNKNOWN” COMEDIAN SETS OUT TO BE A HOUSEHOLD NAME AS HIS TEAM CREATES A PLATFORM TO DISCOVER “UNKNOWN” ARTISTS ACROSS THE COUNTRY

Live taping of 1-hour stand-up comedy special stars UNKNOWN (for now), Jason Weems
Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Baltimore’s Historic Center Stage Theater

Jason Weems, a Baltimore based stand-up comedian, died after a performance in Philadelphia. No pulse. No heartbeat. 5-minutes. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. The stand-up comedian, who just hours earlier, was being applauded by a Philadelphia audience now laid unconscious and unidentified in Hahnemann University Hospital. This life altering experience re-ignited his drive to never allow his talents or the city he represents to be Unknown again.

On December 1, 2018, audiences will experience a stand-up performance like no other. “In the comedy world, Jason’s honest & conversational style is a rare find.” (humor columnist, Mike Moran)

“Baltimore’s artists are elevating positive conversations through the mic, the paint brush and the pen,” says Dionne Joyner-Weems, former Vice President of Marketing & Community Affairs for Visit Baltimore, now CEO of The Audacity Group. As the marketing engine behind Jason Weems Comedy, Audacity is committed to creating a platform to discover the hidden jewels of Baltimore followed by other major urban cities across America. “The Black creative class is very slowly beginning to receive mainstream recognition in Baltimore. Unknown, is just another example of a city no longer waiting for their story to be told. Audacity is here to support.”

Tickets are available for purchase online at www.CenterStage.org.
